Mayor Sun J. Shimura led the flag raising ceremony, his first as municipal mayor, held earlier today, July 1, 2019 at the front ground of the Municipal Hall.
In his message, Mayor Shimura pledged to serve with sincerity of heart in his quest for a more progressive Daanbantayan. The amiable mayor asked for the full support and cooperation of all employees because he believes that every single personnel is essential to the success of his administration. He added that by working together, and with the support of the Sangguniang Bayan, his vision to provide efficient and quality social services to all Kandayanons is attainable.
Mayor Shimura also reminded employees to avoid partisanship and leave behind politics to politicians, emphasizing that the welfare of the people, regardless of political color, should be a top priority. Hon. Shimura said that communication is key to resolving obstacles and assured that he is willing to listen and help in finding a solution to the problem.
In full force to show their support for Mayor Shimura were school heads and district supervisors, PNP Daanbantayan, and the municipal council.
