The Philippine Crop Insurance Corporation (PCIC) awarded imdemnity checks worth P672,863.90 to forty farmers and fisherfolks on Thursday, May 25, 2023.
Mayor Sun Shimura spearheaded the distribution of checks, together with PCIC Regional Manager Paulita Secuya and Municipal Agriculture Officer Henry Rondina.
The government’s crop indemnity program through PCIC as the implementing agency provides insurance protection to agricultural producers against loss of crops and other agricultural project losses caused by natural calamities, plant pests, diseases, and other perils. 05/25/2023
