Daanbantayan is among the six mainland LGUs of the fourth district to receive financial assistance from the Capitol during the Caravan of Serviced held in the town of Medellin on Friday, June 21, 2024.
On behalf of Mayor Sun Shimura, Vice Mayor Elver Ali Abucay received the check amounting to P5 million from Governor Gwen Garcia which is intended as calamity and infrastructure funds.
In addition, barangay captains of Calape, Bitoon, and Lanao each received P200,000 from the Provincial Government to support their infrastructure projects.
Aside from the financial assistance given to LGUs, various essential services from the Capitol, national agencies, and private sectors were likewise provided to the constituents of the 4th district with the intent of bringing government services closer to the people.
