The Municipality of Daanbantayan warmly welcomed the Seal of Good Local Governance regional assessment team on Tuesday, July 11, 2023 at the Municipal Function Hall.
Presided by MLGOO Grace Caburnay, the SGLG assessment was conducted to validate and evaluate performance of every sector of the LGU through documents review, interview, on-site visit, and exit conference.
The said assessment covered ten governance areas, namely financial administration and sustainability; disaster preparedness; social protection and sensitivity; health compliance and responsiveness; sustainable education; business-friendliness and competitiveness; safety, peace and order; environmental management; tourism, heritage development, culture and arts; and youth development.
SGLG is a progressive assessment system that gives distinction to remarkable performance of LGU by putting emphasis on integrity and good performance as pillars of meaningful local autonomy and development.
The SGLG regional assessment team involves LGOO VII Engr. Wyndel G. Valle, LGOO III Jonaluke V. Tubal II and CSO Representative Mr. Ricardo M. Varquez.
The whole day activity was attended by Mayor Sun Shimura, Vice Mayor Elver Ali Abucay, and department heads.
