Mayor Sun Shimura, Vice Mayor Elver Ali Abucay, and SB Member Wendell Rosell led the inauguration and ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new daycare center in Sitio Talisay North, Barangay Malingin, on Monday, October 28, 2024.
The center, measuring 6 by 8 meters, was funded through a DSWD-KALAHI CIDDS grant of P1,250,000, along with contributions from the municipal and barangay LGUs and the community, totaling P30,500. The lot was donated by Mr. Eduardo Monterde and Mrs. Leonita Monterde.
Present at the ceremony were Malingin Punong Barangay Ma. Jay Bontia, Malingin barangay council and officials, Malingin Farmers Association, parents, daycare workers, pupils, and other community members.
