The Municipality of Daanbantayan was bestowed the 2024 Anti-Drug Abuse Council (ADAC) National Award for its outstanding initiatives to curb proliferation of illegal drugs and for its continued efforts to implement awareness and prevention education programs toward achieving a drug-free community.
Mayor Sun Shimura, who was joined by MLGOO Grace Caburnay and MADAC Focal Grace Navarro, received the accolade during the awards ceremony held on Wednesday, December 11 at the Manila Hotel.
Daanbantayan is one of the only eight LGUs from the Province of Cebu recognized by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) as national awardees for the 2024 National ADAC Performance Awards.
