Municipality of Daanbantayan together with the neighboring towns of Sogod, Tabogon and Tuburan, in partnership with the Department of Agriculture Region VII (DA-7), joins the Handog ng Pangulo, Serbisyong Sapat Para Sa Lahat program–a nationwide simultaneous distribution of various government assistance and services.
Led by Mayor Sun Shimura and DA 7 Regional Executive Director Angel C. Enriquez, CESO III, the program was held on Friday, September 13, 2024 at the Lamberto R. Te Cultural Center where the DA-7 turned over up to P6 million worth of farm machinery and equipment to six farmers associations.
Beneficiaries from Daanbantayan received 1 unit 4-wheel tractor with complete accessories for Fatima Bandilaan Farmers Association; 1 unit Corn Combine Harvester for Bitoon Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries; and 1 unit Corn Sheller with Dehusker for Saging Farmers Association.
On the other hand, Pansoy Farmers Association of Sogod, Nagkahiusang Mag-uuma sa Ilihan of Tabogon, and Gaang Farmers Association of Tuburan each received
1 unit Corn Husker-Sheller.
In full force during the program were the Sangguniang Bayan headed by Vice Mayor Elver Ali Abucay, SB Member and Committee on Agriculture Chairman Wendell Rosell, SB Member Jupiter Rosell, SB Member Marvi Loot-Pinos, SB Member Mark Anthony Luche, DA-7 key personnel, Office of the Provincial Agriculturist, Municipal Agriculturist-OIC Henry Rondina, former Municipal Agriculturist Ma. Lina Jugan, barangay captains, and farmers associations.
