Mayor Sun Shimura and Vice Mayor Elver Ali Abucay led the time capsule laying and groundbreaking ceremony of the new Maya Port Passenger Terminal Facility this morning, February 3, 2025.
Situated in RoRo Port, Barangay Maya, the 2-storey facility has an estimated floor area of 1,050 square meters. This modern infrastructure is designed to improve port services and accommodate key operational functions. It will feature office spaces for the Accounting, Coast Guard, and Tourism.
The project has been made possible through the dedicated efforts of Mayor Shimura, with the full support of the Sangguniang Bayan, reflecting their commitment to the municipalityβs progress and development.
This event marks the beginning of a modern, efficient, and sustainable port terminal that will enhance connectivity, boost economic opportunities, and improve the overall travel experience for our community and visitors alike.
Present during the ceremony were SB Member Jupiter Roy Rosell, SB Member Simplicio Mantos, Municipal Consultant Vicente Loot, CPA Rep. Alfred Presbitero, Willy Go of WTG Construction and Development Corp., Engr. Marina Arcenal, Maya Punong Barangay Redeliza Abucay-Agustin, PMAJ Mark Anthony Villanueva, barangay captains led by ABC President Mark Anthony Luche, and other stakeholders.
