Philippine Crop Insurance Corp (PCIC) today, March 13, distributed indemnity checks worth P204,882.50 to 33 farmers, livestock raisers, and fishermen affected by natural calamities.
The government’s crop indemnity program through PCIC as the implementing agency provides insurance protection to agricultural producers against loss of the crops. Once enrolled, a farmer is assured that he will recover his investment if he suffers crop and other agricultural project losses caused by natural calamities, plant pests and disease and other perils.
