The 2nd annual graduation ceremony of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) of the Department of Social Welfare and Development happened on Monday, March 25, 2024 at the Lamberto Te Cultural Sports Center.

A total of 569 graduates exit in the program, based on the concluded Social Welfare Development Indicator (SWDI) survey result of 2023. Of the graduates, 538 exit due to self-sufficient level of well-being while 31 is due to no eligible children, 0-18 years old, for monitoring.

The exit ceremony aligns with the directives outlined in JMC 2022-001, which highlights the importance of Local Government Units assuming responsibility for the continued support and assistance provided to beneficiaries upon their exit from the Pantawid Program.

SB Member Wendell Rosell, speaking on behalf of Mayor Sun Shimura, delivered a welcome address. He emphasized the positive impact of the program on the Kandayan-ons, highlighting the numerous achievements it has brought about. Supporting this statement, 4Ps Division Chief Jiah Sayson, shared examples of success storiesβ€”recognizing the achievements of Latin Honor awardees, households with degree holders, and those who were PRC passers.

DNHS Principal Archie Gallego and Municipal Health Officer Dra. Merle Visda both shared their personal testimonies on how the program has greatly influenced education and encouraged more people to seek assistance.

RCCT 4Ps graduate Gisela Sampaga and MCCT 4Ps graduate Mohandas Karlo Palces also shared their personal experiences, emphasizing how the program has positively impacted their lives and provided essential support for their families, including basic necessities, improved well-being, better socioeconomic status, and opportunities for livelihood.

SB Member Wendell Rosell received the case folder from the DSWD which contained all the important details about the exiting beneficiaries. Afterwards, certificates were distributed to the partner stakeholders including the academic and health sectors.

MSWDO Heidie Aplece delivered her message thanking everyone who came and celebrated. The ceremony wrapped up with a graduation song performed by the exiting beneficiaries

The activity was graced by SB Member Mark Anthony Luche, Public Schools District 2 Supervisor Necifora Rosales, barangay captains, barangay councilors, and DSWD Action Team members.
