LGU Daanbantayan through the Municipal Anti-Drug Abuse Council (MADAC) conducts Lakaw Kontra Droga, a youth engagement activity anchored by the BIDA (Buhay ay Ingatan, Droga’y Ayawan) Program, on Tuesday, November 14, 2023.
Approximately 150 students from Daanbantayan National High School, Tapilon National High, and Academia de San Martin, alongside their respective teachers participated in the event.
Mayor Sun Shimura together with Daanbantayan District Supervisors Dr. Eva Casinillo and Dr. Necifora Rosales, DNHS and TNHS school heads Dr. Archie Gallego and Mr. Ruel Aranchado, Municipal Police Station chief Police Captain Jan Christian Bautista, and DILG MLGOO Grace Caburnay, and MADAC Focal Grace Navarro were present during the program held at the Lamberto R. Te. Cultural Center.
The Lakaw Kontra Droga activity, which included a parade and symposium with resource speakers from the DepEd and PNP, aims to raise awareness and educate the youth on the perils of illegal drugs and help them realize their role as warriors of this campaign.
