Participants of the first ever Kandaya Art in the Park got a much-needed boost as municipal officials took time to catch a glimpse at yesterday’s painting contest held at the municipal plaza.
Present to show their support were Mayor Sun Shimura, Vice Mayor Elver Ali Abucay, 4th District Board Member Kerrie Keane Shimura, Municipal Councilor Jupiter Rosell and Municipal Councilor Marvi Loot-Pinos.
Ten young Kandayanon artists, ages 17-22, participated in the competition.
