Philippine Crop Insurance Corporation (PCIC) awarded a total amount of P550,025.75 indemnity checks to 64 insured farmers, livestock raisers, and fishermen today, Wednesday, January 18, 2023.
The beneficiaries received their checks from Mayor Sun Shimura, ABC President Mowy Luche, MAO OIC Henry Rondina and PCIC representatives.
The government’s crop indemnity program through PCIC as the implementing agency provides insurance protection to agricultural producers. Once enrolled, a farmer is assured that he will recover his investment if he suffers crop and other agricultural project losses caused by natural calamities, plant pests and disease, and other perils.
