Fifty-eight (58) solar street light posts have been installed in barangays Bakhawan, Bateria, Maya, Poblacion, and Tinubdan.
Funded under the national government’s Financial Assistance to Local Government Units (FALGU) for Fiscal Year 2021, the P5 million street light project covers a distance of 1.16 kilometers and benefits more than 3,200 households.
Mayor Sun Shimura showed his appreciation for the project’s completion, emphasizing that the solar lights can help the LGU save electricity costs.
One big advantage of the solar-powered street lights is that they continue to light up the streets even during power interruptions.
