Thirty-nine (39) couples solemnized their union in a civil mass wedding ceremony sponsored by the municipal government held on Tuesday, February 28, 2023.
Mayor Sun Shimura officiated the civil wedding, witnessed by sponsors and families of the couples. Vice Mayor Elver Ali Abucay, Municipal Councilor JupJup Rosell, and Municipal Councilor Wendell Rosell graced the event held at Lamberto R. Te Cultural Center.
The free civil mass wedding is an annual activity of the LGU through the Local Civil Registrar which aims to legitimize the union and strengthen the bond of couples.
In addition to bottle of wines, cakes, and giveaways, free lunch were provided to the couples and their sponsors.
