The Municipal Composite Validation and Assessment Task Team (MCVATT), which includes representatives from the DILG, MPDO, PNP, BFP, Coast Guard, BJMP, and Traffic Management Office, conducted a two-day road clearing assessment and validation for the fourth quarter on Thursday and Friday, December 11-12, 2025.

The activity covered 18 barangays: Poblacion, Bitoon, Paypay, Bakhawan, Dalingding, Tinubdan, Bagay, Calape, Malbago,Bateria, Malingin, Pajo, Agujo, Tapilon, Maya, Talisay, Tominjao, Lanao. After the data have been gathered and collated, the barangay LGUs will be informed of the findings so they can address and rectify the identified obstructions, ultimately improving public safety and traffic flow.



This initiative aligns with DILG Memorandum Circular No. 2024-053, which mandates LGUs and barangays to clear public roads, sidewalks, and alleys of all obstructions, including illegal structures and vehicles, to enhance safety, improve traffic flow, and ensure better accessibility for emergency services and the general public.
