The Archdiocesan Shrine of Santa Rosa de Lima spearheaded the Opening Salvo of the 167th Annual Town Fiesta in honor of Santa Rosa De Lima on Wednesday, August 20, 2025.
One of the most anticipated highlights was the arrival of the fluvial procession from Barangay Logon. The Galleon of Santa Rosa de Lima docked at the Daanbantayan Fishermen’s Wharf, where it was warmly welcomed by a crowd of devotees, members of the Parish Pastoral Council, Vice Mayor Elver Ali Abucay, SB Member Wendell Rosell, and Poblacion Punong Barangay Melissa de Leon.

From the wharf, the sacred image of Santa Rosa de Lima was solemnly brought in procession to the Municipal Hall, where it was received by Mayor Gilbert Arrabis Jr., along with SB Member Bregitte Tancawan, SB Member Bata De Leon, and Tominjao Punong Barangay Mark Gallen Moralde.
A brief rite was held at the Municipal Hall, after which Mayor Arrabis led the image in a procession to the Archdiocesan Shrine. Upon arrival, he ceremoniously enthroned the image inside the glass urna mounted on the official vehicle.
The Opening Salvo caravan then commenced, ushering in a series of religious and cultural activities leading up to the town fiesta on August 29-30, 2025.
