The Sangguniang Bayan of Daanbantayan officially commenced its 2025–2028 term with an inaugural session held on Wednesday, July 2, 2025.
The program started with a prayer followed by the singing of the Philippine National Anthem and the Sugbo Hymn. After the invocation, each member of the Sangguniang Bayan delivered a short speech.
In their messages, the honorable members of the Sangguniang Bayan, led by Vice Mayor Elver Ali Abucay, echoed a shared commitment to serve the Kandayanons with passion, integrity, and transparency. They emphasized the importance of prioritizing the needs of the people in every decision and expressed optimism for a productive and collaborative relationship with the new administration.
Meanwhile, Mayor Gilbert Arrabis Jr. delivered his inaugural address, where he laid out his 10-point agenda, charting the course for his administration over the next three years.
In full force were the Sanguniang Bayan members: Councilor Simplicio Mantos, Councilor Marvi Pinos, Councilor Jupiter Roy Rosell, Councilor Wendell Rosell, Councilor Chona De Leon, Councilor Bernardito Luche, Councilor Jose Maria Gastardo, Councilor Maria Bregidorietta Tancawan, ABC President Mark Anthony Luche, and SKF President Crystal Rodrigo. Also present were the department heads; PMAJ Mark Anthony Villanueva, PNP Daanbantayan police chief; and MLGOO Grace Caburnay, DILG field officer.
With an emphasis on public service, the session signaled the start of a new chapter in Daanbantayan’s municipal governance.
